QuarkXPress 2016 stopped working

My copy of QuarkXPress 2016 worked great on my Windows 10 computer until today. Beginning today, it will no longer open. The start-up screen runs for a while, but then disappears. The application will no longer boot up. I tried a Windows system restore to an earlier date, but this did not fix QuarkXPress 2016's inability to boot up/open. I uninstalled QuarkXPress 2016 and reinstalled and re-validated it. This also did not fix the problem. It will no longer open.

Not sure what else to try in order to fix this?

Any help appreciated.

An update on the problem with launching QuarkXPress 2016 today: I think it was a corrupted Preferences file. Once I saved a copy and then deleted this folder (C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\Quark), the app launched OK. Am using Windows 10, v 1607.
