Automatic page insertion

Post by ichadwick » 30 Oct 2017, 16:15

I am using QX 2017 on Windows and trying to create a digital file in which I import large Word files. I want to be set the layout to automatically create new pages until the imported file is completely included in my Quark document. However, I can only find a check box for an automatic text box, and an input box to insert a fixed number of pages. Since I don't know the number until I have it all imported, this means a lot of manual tinkering to get them all included.

Is there a simple way to automatically add pages with a chained text box so I don't have to spend my time doing it manually? Some of my documents are >100 pages (8.5 x 11) in Word, but this can end up triple the number in a digital format.

Just check "Automatic text box", click on a text frame on the 1st page to see the text cursor and place the text.
You can place text anywhere in the document on the text cursor position, also.
