Can I apply different Master Pages to the same page ?

Post by Yadith » 22 Mar 2018, 14:01

I am writing a workbook. I want to apply different Master pages to one single page in my document.
One Master Page A with all page numbers and title of Workbook (which I already did).
A second Master Page B only for some pages which include the section title.
For example, I want only pages 20-30 to have both master Page A and also B, but the other pages only Master Page A.
As a matter of fact I want more master pages created only for certain sections and not others, but I want all the workbook to have Master page A. I know this has been done a million times because there are tons of textbooks that have certain pages with the section title plus the Textbook title and page number, etc.
I am new to QuarkXpress, and I could not find anything online regarding this. This sees to be easy to do, but I can't get Quark to do it.

Thank you very much for your advice.

Hi Yadith,

directly not, as QuarkXPress has no hierarchical master pages.

With synchronized objects you can achieve the same effect, have you tried that?

Thanks
Matthias

If I get it well, couldn't you create a third MP a mixture of A and B? Or can't you play with layers (adding one when needed)?
