MailMerge addresses which contain a comma ','

Hi all.
I wonder if you can help.

I want to import postal addresses into quark, but quark requires csv import which is comma separated. The issue is that addresses contain commas between city and state, so when I import it puts the state on a line below the city (I want them on the same line)

With Indesign we use Tab delimited import files, so commas are not a problem.

Is there a simple solution for this issue? Or can mailmerge in quarkxpress 2018 be edited to allow tab delimited import files?
