System Requirements for QX2018

Post by Matthias Guenther (Quark) » 28 Feb 2018, 18:30

QuarkXPress 2018 will be supported on:
  • MacOS 10.13 (High Sierra),
  • MacOS 10.12 (Sierra),
  • Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan),
  • Windows 10 (64 bit),
  • Windows 8.1 (64-bit) and
  • Windows 7 (64-bit)
.
Please note that QuarkXPress 2018 – being a pure 64 Bit application – will not run under a 32-bit flavor of Windows.

Also note, that QuarkXPress 2018 will be the last version to support Windows 7.

Thanks
Matthias

Hi Matthias!
Should it run properly on Mac 10.10 (though not supported officially)? Or definitely not?

I think it's like all previous versions: it might run, but they haven't tested or (nor will support it).

Sort of an opposite "for instance", I was able to get QXP 7.5 to run on Snow Leopard, but it a). wasn' t officially supported and b). often crashed unexpectedly. 6.5 ran far smoother.

I'd expect this is similar; it might run, but some features night not work or it might crash unexpectedly. Maybe there are some users here who will report back in and test it in the real world.
