It will be (supposedly) the May update.

The current version is 15.2.1 as of the March update.

I haven't tested it yet, so I don't know for sure, but Quark tech support said:
... The Spell checker issue has been resolved in the latest version of QuarkXPress 15.2.1. ...

It is scheduled for the next update. According to the response to my support ticket.

It's not yet fixed.

Hopefully the whole dictionary(ies) was gone over.

Amen to that, but I find it highly unlikely that they fixed anything beyond what they had to. - I still haven't updated, but when I do and I get the chance, I'll update.

Quark licenses it dictionaries/hyphenation from a 3rd-party. So that 3rd-party would have been responsible for fixing their dictionaries. Inless that company took it upon themselves to fully check their stuff, and/or Quark directing them to AND following up, it would require Quark to extensively check each language against a know word list made for each language to get them to do so.

Such a thing isn't rocket science. I suspect any one of us could compile a spelling/hyphenation defect list in a day or two...if we had access to the word lists themselves.

The latest version of QX2019 (QX15.2.3) still does not have the spell check fixed.
They did fix it in QX2020.

There are a few other bugs in QX2019 that they fixed in QX2020 but not in QX2019.
They need to patch QX2019!
