Faux Italic

Is there a way to create faux Italic in QuarkXPress 2020?

It is possible if a change is made in the "settings.xml" file.

One needs to change the word "false" to "true". Make certain the quote marks are still around the word and that you use a proper text editor so the encoding doesn't change.
