WHICH ONE?

Post by gameroflight » 20 Apr 2015, 15:20

Howdy,

I'm making a picture book with a lot of individual elements to combine in the page layout program. Now, I need a simple interface and my deadline is soon so there's not much time to learn. What page layout program--Indesign, Scribbus, or another--would be best for me?

I'm thinking magazine-style picture book

The advice you received in the InDesign forum is likely your best option.

Whether using QXP or ID (in the ID forum), I would be glad to help you with specific issues you run into. But if time is critical, even using Lynda.com and taking several of their courses, you likely don't have time to become proficient enough to have any sanity left even if you meet this undefined timeline.

Best case if you were to finish in time is you may wish you hired someone. Worse case is you will simply not meet whatever the time constraint is and end up hiring someone anyway.

Mike
