Background colour of a shape
Background colour of a shape
Okay, I am obviously pretty new to using Quark and this is probably a really basic question... I have been looking everywhere and cannot find how to add a background colour to a shape I draw. All I want to do is create a horizontal box, add the background blue to it, apply a text box to the shape (figured that out) and add text... All I can find is how to do it as a gradient but not as a solid (which is the default but there is no allowance for changing the colours under solid that I could find)Edited to include that I am using a Mac version of the software...Thanks for any helpWaymac

Background colour of a shape
Is this what you mean?
I drew a shape. Changed it to contain text. I selected the icon as indicated in the screen shot, chose a color and set the shade (so I could read the text better).

Thanks MikeWenzloff. That is exactly what I was trying to do. I didn't have the colour pallet visible on the right side so when I added it, it was easy. Thanks so much for putting up with such a newbie!Waymac
