New Mac Illustration Program: Affinity by Serif

Post by omegaman » 24 Jul 2014, 18:34

Since I'm always looking for alternatives to Adobe Illustrator, I thought this might be of Interest.
Currently the software is in Beta (for MAC) and can be downloaded from https://affinity.serif.com
Supports CMYK and exports to PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, PDF, SVG, EPS and PSD, although some of these export formats are currently limited or not implemented yet.
27 inch iMac / Intel Core i5 / 2.66 GHz / 16 GB Memory / System: Yosemite 10.10.5 – PRINCIPAL DESIGN SOFTWARE: QuarkXpress 9 and 2015 / Affinity Designer / Affinity Photo / Acorn / Pinegrow Web Designer

Looks good and promising.

Pity it is Mac only, same as Pixelmator. And Corel is Windows only.
However I am surprised it is Mac only, as all of the other apps Serif has are Windows only.

Regards
Matthias
