Hi all,

as I see the same questions coming up via Social Media, here are the answers to frequently asked questions about fixed-layout ePubs out of QuarkXPress 2015:

FAQ for fixed-layout ePubs out of QuarkXPress 2015

Deployment / Distribution

Do I need to upload the exported epubs to any Quark site?
No, you can just distribute it yourself. Send it via email, make it available on your own website, upload it to any book store (that accepts epubs) etc.

Do I need to pay Quark any royalties or license fees?
You don't ;-)
Once you purchased QuarkXPress there is no payment needed anymore. No subscription for the software, no monthly payment for the ebooks, no hosting fee, no reoccurring payments for distribution.
Of course bookstores like Apple or amazon might charge you for handling books and most likely will take some percentage of your selling, however that has nothing to do with Quark.
