Dropped support for IE, added Opera

Ask questions about creating HTML5 Publications and HTML pages – both fixed or responsive – using QuarkXPress 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. HTML5 Publications allow you to create online publications with near-WYSIWYG typography & design and app-like interactivity – at no extra cost.

Also learn about Progressive Web App (PWA) export from QuarkXPress 2018. And see how truly responsive layouts using CSS flexboxes are possible, using the Flex Layout in QuarkXPress 2019. All without having to code of course.

Dropped support for IE, added Opera

Post by Matthias Guenther (Quark) » 05 Jul 2018, 05:43

Hi all,

besides larger changes in the HTML5 Publications (which now can be progressive web apps), we made a few notable change in the support of browsers when exporting from QuarkXPress 2018:
  • HTML5 Publications DO NOT SUPPORT Internet Explorer (IE) by Microsoft anymore. Use Microsoft Edge instead (or any other modern browser)
  • We ADDED SUPPORT for Opera now
If you need IE support, we recommend staying with QuarkXPress 2017 please.
