Cursor acts strangely in QuarkXPress 2018 14.0.1

Post by erickillinger » 02 Aug 2018, 13:49

Since updating QXP 2018 (Mac) to 14.0.1, the cursor is behaving strangely. I cannot resize text boxes, and the text cursor flickers alternatively with the pointer tool. is there a .plist preference file that can be deleted/replaced? If so, where is it located?

Added @ 2:40 MST: Trying to choose or replace glyphs is impossible, even when text to be replaced is selected. Found the .plist files and deleted them. Also cleared the QXP cache. Still no good.

Trying to complete a book for a client and this is a bit annoying.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

Aha! I located the problem with the file. Someone inadvertently added a second pagination to one of the files, and it was messing up everything else. Now fixed and cursor no longer flickering between the typography tool and the pointer. Also glyph replacement functions as it should. Whew!
