Converting a circle to a radius

Post by Jim8Davis » 30 Sep 2018, 13:25

Is there a way to convert a circle to a radius or a portion of a circle in Quark? I do this now by creating a circle, adding a border, and then blocking out the portions of the circle that I don't want to show by covering it with a white picture box. This is time consuming and can get very complicated as can be seen in the attached two images. One image shows the finished drawing and the other shows all the various picture boxes (in blue) required to block out the portions of a circle that I don't want to show. I am using Quark to create engineering drawings, something it was never intended to be used for. I should be doing this with a CAD program but I don't do this often enough to justify the expense of a CAD program and the time it would take to learn to use it. I have become quite proficient in creating engineering drawings in Quark.

You can use the Scissors tool, it's working like a charm. Try it.
Draw a circle, transform it's shape (Item - Shape - Free line), then use the Scissors tool for cutting the unwanted segments.
Every day is a good day to learn something new.

Which Shape do I select? The squiggly line one? And where is the Scissors tool? I searched under Help and nothing came up.
