How to upgrade to 2018 14.2.1

Post by S-J » 14 Jun 2019, 09:29

I am still on QX 2018 14.0 and have been spectacularly unsuccessful in upgrading to the later versions since then. The built in updater does not do anything. I then get a comment to use the installer and only install the updater - that does not work either. How do I go about getting my updates under these circumstances for something I have paid for but not received. This is highly frustrating to say the least.

You can go here: http://quark.com/en/Support/Downloads/. Choose your OS and File Type (updaters) and you can download what you need.
You have to create a free account if <ou dont't have one already.
Every day is a good day to learn something new.

Thank you for the link. I simply don't understand why the program does not work as it should. Furthermore, when I use the same credentials as I used for my first download of QX2018 it does not recognise me. That has happened before and seems to somehow have to do with which server one reaches on the day.

Please forgive my ignorance in matters Quark updating. What I downloaded from the above link is a full new installer for the Jan 2019 version of QX2018 and Windows 10 requires that I uninstall my old Quark first before installing the updated version. That means that I lose all my settings and preferences of the current installation.
Is there not an updater download that updates the current installation to the latest version? That is what I am used to with all other installed software. Alternatively is there a way of exporting preferences etc for importing after the new install.
